burnit HD is a software toy (or open-ended "game") available for Apple's iPad devices. It is based on FireWriter, which was one of the final projects of my seven month Game-a-Day project. The Game-a-Day project can be found at interactionartist.com, along with all of my other hobby projects.

I made a new experimental gameplay project each day for 7 months (InteractionArtist.com). "FireWriter" was the best of the 219 projects, at its peak receiving as many as 150,000 users per month at its home site.
I adapted "FireWriter" to iPhone and iPod Touch as "Burnit", which held its spot in the Entertainment charts for over a year, reaching hundreds of thousands of players worldwide.
Now - specially made to take advantage of the iPad's graphical power - "burnit HD" has arrived. It's bigger, faster, and hotter than ever before. I took what worked, fixed what didn't, and completely revamped the interface to help everyone get more out of digitally playing with fire.
Juggle flames with 10 fingers at once - or huddle around the iPad and let a few other hands get involved.
Write your name in gunpowder and light it, with precision that would be impossible to match on a smaller screen.
Pull photographs from the internet into your Photo Library, then light everyone's virtual hair on fire or scorch your ex out of the photos.
The Easy Save feature ensures a crisp shot every time, minus the HUD buttons, making your real-time modified photos ready for upload to Facebook and MySpace after each sync.
